Our Elders

Lead Pastor Sam Cathey

Sam Cathey is our Lead Pastor. He has a Master of Divinity degree from Denver Seminary and is currently working on a Doctor of Ministry degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (TEDS). He and his wife, Carmen, have 3 adult children. Pastor Sam came to Monument View in 2015 to serve as our Associate Pastor. He became our lead pastor in 2019.

Associate Pastor Andy Hanson

Andy Hanson is our Associate Pastor and Worship Leader. He and his wife Lindy, moved to Fruita from southeast Oklahoma to join us as our Associate Pastor in 2020.  Andy and Lindy have been partners in ministry since 1998, fulltime since 2001.  These years have included music, youth, education, and administration. They have 6 adult children and 9 grandchildren.

Doug Bradford has been attending MVBC for over twenty years. Doug has served as both Elder and Elder Chairman. He and his wife, Jan, have three adult daughters and four grandchildren.

Elder Ken Ward

Ken Ward has been attending MVBC since 1992 and first became an elder in 2001. He has served as both Elder and Elder Chairman. He and his wife, Robin, have a married son with one grandchild and an adult daughter.
